I just happened to be looking through "Ripley's Believe It or Not" 4th series published March 1954 and it had this to say about King Cole: His daughter, Empress Helena (242-328) became the wife of Roman Emperor Constantius the Pale. Cole was king of Colchester, England. Constantius laid seige to Colchester that was ended in a truce. King Cole gave a banquet to celebrate the truce and, you guessed it, called for his pipe and called for his bowl and called for his fiddlers three. Helena and Constantius had a son named Constantine the Great.
