I'm doing a research project on the history of "Jack and Jill". So far I've found several different paths; a connection between King Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette; the couple Jack and Jill of the English town Kilmersdon; two male Norse boys, Hjuki and Bil, that were captured by their moon god; and a few different measurements, 2 jiggers = 1 jack, 2 jacks = 1 jill, and 2 jills = 1 cup. I've found so many different history paths that I can't write them all. Note: Many believe Jill was originally Gill. Which was either a measurement or a boy's name. To answer your question. I haven't seen a sure name!
