This is a version of the one I was looking for. The one I remember didn't say
" Pig wouldn't goo.
'Tis almost midnight, what shall I do?"
it said:
"pig won't jump over the sty
and I won't be home in time for supper"
but other than that it's the one I remember.
I've look in the Oxford Dictionary of Nursery Rhymes (by the Opie's) and didn't find it (even the version you have), but I'm going to check it out at the library -- maybe I missed it.
